About 70% of eye drops contain benzalkonium chloride (BAK) as a preservative to maintain sterility, but it can cause irritation and toxicity. Amazing Colyrio is BAK free. Preservation of the “Best by” two years shelf life, is provided by its bioactive oxygen compounds.
