Intro

Oxygen is the life-giving, life-sustaining element. It’s been used in several forms to improve human health for hundreds of years. Oxygen is  carried throughout the body primarily bound to a protein molecule called hemoglobin—which is present inside red blood cells. A much smaller amount of unbound oxygen is carried by dissolving in blood plasma. Only after oxygen is dissolved in plasma may it diffuse into the surrounding tissue fluid for cell utilization. The most direct and effective way to replenish an oxygen deficit is to maximize unbound dissolved oxygen in the body’s fluids. Oxygen allows the body to rebuild itself and maintain a strong immune system.

Transdermal oxygenation

Transdermal oxygenation is the process in which dissolved oxygen penetrates the skin and reaches internal fluids for systemic distribution. A “wet bridge” is built between the skin and active oxygen metabolite saturated water through soaking, spraying, and other topical applications.

When an electrolyte solution of oxygen species (ESOS) is added to clean water, it frees oxygen ions, creating an abundance of bio-absorbable oxygen. The dissolved oxygen metabolites cross the dermal barrier and reach the cells in internal tissues. Heavy permeation of ionized oxygen metabolites through the skin occurs due to its microscopic molecular size.

The energy gradient continues to transport the dissolved oxygen—via an ion activated delivery system—to areas with an oxygen deficit. They join the free dissolved oxygen pool in the interstitial fluid, and are utilized by the cells of the surrounding tissue. It’s an efficient and non-invasive way to satisfy cellular oxygen demand, while bypassing the respiratory and circulatory metabolic systems.

Inflammation

Inflammation occurs when your immune system launches an attack on injury or infection. The body expands blood vessels to increase blood flow to affected areas. The inflammatory process stops once the root cause is resolved. Occasionally, instead of retreating, the immune system will continue its attack—this is chronic inflammation. When inflammatory chemicals persist in an area they can damage healthy tissue. Over time, chronic inflammation contributes to health deterioration.

Water + electrolyte solution of oxygen species has chemical properties that interact with biological processes in a similar way to internal body fluids. Active oxygen ions react with the water and substrates they come in contact with to provide greater oxidation energy. A sudden high concentration of reactive oxygen species (ROS) tells your cellular reactive oxygen species sensory that there’s a surplus—tricking it into a metabolic reaction and calming the body’s oxidative process that sustains inflammatory responses. When metabolic equilibrium is reached, the body reverses inflammation.

Digestive and Gastrointestinal Support

Oxygen as a gas does not have a lasting residual effect. It’s released in the stomach after ingestion, but can’t go past the stomach because it escapes from the gastric fluids and is absorbed by the capillaries in the stomach lining. Dissolved oxygen has a longer residual effect. When present in the stomach gastric fluids, it promotes positive regulatory activity that carries throughout the digestive tract. Benefits include:

  • Stimulating cellular regeneration of the epithelial lining to maintain proper functionality.
  • Optimizing absorption of nutrients and essential minerals; and eliminating waste.
  • Strengthens gastrointestinal immune response.
  • Enhancing medication performance
  • Impairing bacterial metabolism in the gut (preventing bacterial overgrowth).
  • Preventing and neutralizing biological toxins produced by bacteria and ingested substances that are foreign to the body.

Dissolved Oxygen Supplementation

Inhaling aerosolized water supercharged with dissolved oxygen is the optimal form of oxygen therapy. It easily combines with fluids and flows through your body longer—assisting with various metabolic processes. Dissolved oxygen is easier for lungs to breathe and absorb because the oxygen concentration is bio-absorbable and similar to what’s found in nature. It increases energy, aids restful sleep, detoxes, helps digestion, relieves headaches, stops nausea, speeds muscle recovery, and boosts immunity. Hospitals use (up to) 99% pure oxygen to speed patient recovery.

Ionized oxygen therapy

If the balance of the ion potential is disturbed, the body reacts negatively. Inhaling positive and negative oxygen ions is ionized oxygen therapy. It’s biologically and therapeutically more effective than medical oxygen. Negative ions have a relaxing effect and positive ions have a stimulating effect.

Ionized oxygen therapy impacts every aspect of physiology and metabolism. It improves respiration and microcirculation, and regulates the nervous, immune, gastrointestinal, intercellular matrix, and inflammatory systems.

Wetway’s electrolyte solution of oxygen species supports ionized oxygen therapy by donating both negative and positive oxygen ions with elevated moisture content—creating a shift in the physical characteristics of the body’s fluids. The fluid’s physical parameters balance to support homeostasis.
